Order the Windows® XP Preview Program now, and for $9.95 (USD) you get access to download Windows XP Professional Release Candidate 2, plus access to the members-only newsgroup. Release candidate software comes with most of the features that will be in the final product, but without the final touches to development and testing.

The Windows XP Preview Program is available to residents of the U.S. and Canada only. (However, additional preview programs are available in select countries worldwide.) Here's how the program works and what you need to do:

Check the system requirements
Release candidate software is intended for testing purposes and may cause problems with your system. It is not recommended for installation on your primary computer. Support for test versions is limited to newsgroup-based, peer-to-peer support only. Does your secondary computer meet the minimum system requirements to run Windows XP?

Order the Windows XP Preview Program
If your system meets the requirements to run Windows XP, check the additional download requirements, and then you can order the Windows XP Preview Program. Windows XP Release Candidate 2 will be available to all program participants via download from the Internet only.
